Meet Victoria Dahl

My name is Victoria Dahl and I am so excited to share my story with you today. I grew up in South Jersey but my family moved to Kendall Park, New Jersey when I was in second grade. My parents wanted us to move so that my sister and I could have the best opportunities that they could give us. It’s where I discovered my passion for art, which I hope to turn into my future career. I go to the University of Delaware in Newark, DE and since I started, I have switched my major twice. I know that it will work out eventually though if I work hard enough and push for what I need which hasn’t always been easy for me to do.

I think that the person I look up to most would be my big sister. We grew up together and we’ve never been super close but she was always there when I needed her help or support. I’ve always looked at her and have seen how she has her life so neat and organized while mine is more like a puzzle that I am still trying to figure out how to put together. She is the person that I have modeled some of my educational goals after, such as to be more organized and to not procrastinate as much.

To be quite honest, I had not gone to a Buffalo Wild Wings ever until a few months before I first applied, and I wish I could go back and change that because I love it here. The atmosphere is just so inviting and friendly, and so are the staff. In my interview before I was hired, I mentioned that it looked like one big family, and now I get to be a part of that and it has been amazing!

For me, performing at my highest potential is a goal that I always strive to achieve, whether it be for my job or for a simple homework assignment for one of my classes. It is important to me because when I was growing up I got criticized a lot for how I “could be doing so much better if I put in the work”. I struggle with Anxiety and Depression so sometimes putting all my energy into a task isn’t so easy. I have worked for years to try and overcome my disabilities, and this is one of the goals that helps me to keep striving to be better and to not just give up.

What’s your Story?
